After serving his country in Viet Nam, Christopher Ashe started out in business when he acted as the manager of a ski area in Connecticut. He went on to work in the field of performing arts as manger of Pilobolus Dance Theatre and as a management consultant to other performing artists. Chris served on the Boards of Directors of numerous not-for-profit companies including The Albert Schweitzer Friendship House, Connecticut Stage, The Sherman Players, The Animal Rights Network and Wildlife Umbrella.

For the past 23 years Chris has been active in the real estate industry. He started out as a salesperson in a small office with 3 other people in the town of Sharon, Connecticut in 1978. Since then he has been a broker and manager with both large and small companies and has started several successful real estate offices from scratch. He has earned designations as an Accredited Buyer representative, Certified Residential Broker, Graduate of the Realtors® Institute and is a Professional Services Certified Specialist. Chris has also served local and state Realtororganizations being elected President of both his local Board of Realtors® and MLS and has served as a Vice President of the Connecticut Association of Realtors®.

In addition to being active in the real estate business, Chris has been an educator teaching for The University of Connecticut, Teikyo-Post College, Norwalk Community College, The Connecticut Association of Realtors and many local Boards of Realtors. He has designed and implemented many training programs and has been a consultant to many firms and individuals. His own real estate education company, Learning Unlimited, has been active for years and in 2000 the Connecticut Association of Realtors voted Chris Educator of the Year. His services as an educator and speaker are in great demand.

Chris is also a whole life coach providing personal coaching services to people from all walks of life. The coaching practice is centered on helping people turn their dreams into reality as well as dealing with specific short-term issues. Many of Chris’ coaching clients come to him because of his business expertise as well as his coaching skills. Chris strongly believes his clients have the resources they need within them. It is the job of the coach to help them discover the resources and put them to work building the client’s dream.

Chris is has been trained as a mediator by the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center and is one of only 400 mediators for the National Association of Realtors. Chris and his wife Rev. Bonny Gilbert Ashe are Peace Workers for the Association of Unity Churches where he gets to put all of his coaching, mediation and business management skills to work in helping churches resolve conflict and grow.

In January of 2004 Chris and Bonny started a new church in Torrington, CT called Unity in the Foothills. The church is being built on a dynamic new model derived from combining the principles learned from Peace Work and from years of business experience.

As a coach, educator and peace worker Chris is dedicated to helping people make their dreams come true. He is available to work with individuals and businesses as a coach, consultant or mentor to help them clarify their personal and professional goals and to create balance in their personal and business lives. He encourages and guides them to take the actions that are necessary to make it all happen.
